ten things

since i'm currently jobless and have a lot of time in my hands, i have come up with this random post. i have thought up of a list (i think they call it a bucket list?) of ten things i want to do before i die or too old to lift my walking stick or become bonkers one day. sounds pretty dramatic doesn't it? but really some of it is quite ordinary

1. go bungee jumping

2. learn how to ride a bicycle

3. hike a mountain (any mountain cos aiming for the Everest is a bit too high)

4. visit Palestine

5. do a voice over for a cartoon/animation film

6. get a quaint little house and live by the sea

7. start my own project for vulnerable people and for it to become a success story

8. travel the world in a train/bus/car/anything but an aeroplane

9. create a nice portfolio of photos taken by me

10. learn how to whistle

9. Majestic City, a home away from home and the only place i used to shop for shoes, handbags, gifts and popcorn

6. Bars cafe, where hanging out with friends was complete with cheesecake and tropical delight fuit waffles

7. My ancient house, with rusty treasure boxes, a bookshelf so huge it makes up one side of a wall, old armchairs, my bedroom and a lot of memories

8. TNL Radio, my only companion during the long nights before exams (i know i can listen to it online now, but its not the same when Oasis and REM play from your ancient rusty radio)

i leave Colombo in a few hours, knowing that i leave behind a treasure chest full of memories. i'm saying goodbye to a part of my life, spent in a city which is home in every special way and so in honor of all the beautiful moments i've had here, i wanted to share a list of 11 things, which i'm going to miss terribly, terribly, terribly.

1. Galle Face Green, a place which has seen me grow up literally. love the beach, the prawn vadas, the ice cream vendors, the acharus, the pier and everything else

2. Carnival, an ice cream parlour, to which a weekly visit is a must. gonna miss the best ever mint choc chip icecream

3.Living close to the beach so whenever i want to, i can go the beach to see the most amazing sunsets
